When choosing the correct Sleeping Board for a campervan with a pop-top roof, the base vehicle alone is not enough. One of the most important factors is the roof system actually installed on the vehicle.
Polimer pop-top roofs are used by different campervan converters. This is why we have deliberately organised this collection around the roof manufacturer rather than a particular vehicle or converter.
If you know which roof system is fitted to your campervan, you can select the Sleeping Board developed specifically for it.
Sleeping Board for the Polimer pop-top roof
The 50°Nord Sleeping Board for the Polimer pop-top roof complements the upper sleeping area of your campervan.
Our Sleeping Boards are developed to match the individual roof construction. Rather than looking only at the base vehicle, we take the geometry and installation of the pop-top sleeping roof into account.
This means that the Sleeping Board is not tied to one particular campervan converter. The important factor is that the vehicle and Polimer roof correspond to the configuration specified for the product.
Which vehicles use a Polimer pop-top roof?
Polimer pop-top roofs are currently used particularly on campervan conversions based on the Ford Transit/Tourneo Custom and the VW New Transporter.
These vehicle families are closely related technically and are used by different converters as the basis for campervans with pop-top roofs.
However, other roof systems are also available for these vehicles. A Ford Custom or VW New Transporter therefore does not automatically mean that this Sleeping Board will fit. The decisive factor is the Polimer pop-top roof actually installed.
Different pop-top roofs on the same base vehicle
The same base vehicle can be fitted with pop-top roofs from different manufacturers, particularly in individually converted campervans.
A vehicle with an SCA roof, for example, requires a different Sleeping Board solution from the same base vehicle fitted with a Polimer roof.
When choosing your Sleeping Board, you should therefore identify the manufacturer and version of your pop-top roof first.
Check modifications made by the campervan converter
Even with the same roof system, the actual installation inside the vehicle can differ.
Campervan converters may add or modify bed frames, lighting, trim or other components.
In addition to the roof manufacturer, always check the vehicle, roof version and installation information provided for the individual Sleeping Board.
Sleeping in a campervan with a Polimer pop-top roof
A pop-top roof creates an additional sleeping area above the main vehicle interior. This increases the usable space in a compact campervan without permanently taking up valuable living space below with an additional bed.
The matching 50°Nord Sleeping Board complements this upper sleeping area and is developed specifically for the corresponding roof construction.
Camper Shower as a flexible addition
Alongside the roof-specific Sleeping Board, this collection also includes the 50°Nord Camper Shower.
It creates a protected shower space inside the vehicle when required, without permanently occupying valuable interior space with a fixed shower compartment.
After use, the shower can be removed, dried, rolled up and stored compactly.
It therefore complements the Sleeping Board with another flexible solution for campervans and individual conversions.
Roof system rather than vehicle make
This collection deliberately takes a different approach from our vehicle-specific categories.
In those collections, you start with your vehicle and find compatible accessories. Here, the Polimer pop-top roof installed on the vehicle is the starting point.
This allows campervans from different converters to use the same 50°Nord Sleeping Board solution when they share the corresponding roof construction.
