REIMO pop-top and sleeping roofs – the roof system matters

REIMO offers pop-top roofs for a variety of campervans and base vehicles. Different roof constructions and configurations are available.

Knowing the base vehicle alone is therefore not enough when choosing the correct Sleeping Board.

The important factor is which REIMO roof is actually installed on your campervan.

This is why we have deliberately organised this collection around the roof manufacturer rather than a particular vehicle or campervan converter.

Sleeping Boards for REIMO pop-top roofs

The 50°Nord Sleeping Boards for REIMO pop-top roofs complement the upper sleeping area of your campervan.

Our Sleeping Boards are developed to match the individual roof construction. Rather than looking only at the base vehicle, we take the geometry and installation of the sleeping roof into account.

There is therefore no single universal Sleeping Board for every vehicle fitted with a REIMO roof.

The correct solution depends on the combination of vehicle, REIMO roof version and installation.

Which vehicles use REIMO pop-top roofs?

REIMO pop-top roofs are available for a variety of base vehicles.

For our Sleeping Board solutions in this collection, the most relevant campervan conversions are based on the VW T5, VW T6, VW T6.1, Mercedes Vito and Mercedes V-Class.

However, different pop-top roofs may be fitted depending on the vehicle, model year and conversion.

A VW T6 or Mercedes Vito is therefore not automatically compatible with a particular 50°Nord Sleeping Board. The REIMO sleeping roof actually installed is the key factor.

REIMO sleeping roofs on VW T5, T6 and T6.1

VW T5, T6 and T6.1 vehicles can be fitted with different REIMO pop-top roof systems.

Depending on the vehicle and conversion, the roof construction, wheelbase, opening direction and other details may differ.

For our roof-specific classification, it is therefore not enough to know whether you drive a VW T5, T6 or T6.1. The important combination is the VW Transporter and the specific REIMO roof installed.

REIMO sleeping roofs on Mercedes Vito and V-Class

Mercedes Vito and Mercedes V-Class vehicles can also be converted into campervans using REIMO pop-top roofs.

As with the VW models, the specific roof configuration is important when choosing the correct Sleeping Board.

The name Mercedes Vito or V-Class alone is therefore not enough to identify the right solution. Always check which REIMO roof is actually installed and compare it with the compatibility information for the individual 50°Nord Sleeping Board.

Different REIMO roof versions

REIMO offers different pop-top and sleeping roof constructions.

These include different EasyFit and super-flat versions. Roofs may also vary according to the vehicle, wheelbase or opening direction.

Two vehicles of the same type fitted with REIMO roofs may therefore not necessarily have the same roof construction.

Always check the exact roof version when choosing your Sleeping Board.

Different roof manufacturers on the same vehicle

VW T5, T6 and T6.1 as well as Mercedes Vito and V-Class vehicles are converted into campervans by many different manufacturers and specialist converters.

Different roof manufacturers may be used on the same base vehicle.

A vehicle with an SCA or MS-Components roof, for example, requires a different Sleeping Board solution from the same base vehicle fitted with a REIMO roof.

When choosing your Sleeping Board, you should therefore identify the manufacturer and exact version of your pop-top roof first.

Check modifications made by the campervan converter

Even with the same or a similar REIMO roof, the actual installation inside the vehicle can differ.

Campervan converters may add or modify bed frames, lighting, trim or other components.

In addition to the roof manufacturer, always check the vehicle, model year, roof version and installation information provided for the individual Sleeping Board.

Sleeping in a campervan with a REIMO pop-top roof

A REIMO sleeping roof creates an additional sleeping area above the main vehicle interior.

The matching 50°Nord Sleeping Board complements this upper sleeping area and is developed for the corresponding roof construction.

The correct Sleeping Board therefore depends primarily on the roof solution actually installed rather than the vehicle model alone.

Camper Shower as a flexible addition

Alongside the roof-specific Sleeping Boards, this collection also includes the 50°Nord Camper Shower.

It creates a protected shower space inside the vehicle when required without permanently occupying valuable interior space with a fixed shower compartment.

After use, the shower can be removed, dried, rolled up and stored compactly.

It therefore complements the Sleeping Board with another flexible solution for campervans and individual conversions.

Roof system rather than vehicle make

Here, the REIMO pop-top roof installed on the vehicle is the starting point.

Does the Sleeping Board fit my REIMO pop-top roof?

First check that your campervan is actually fitted with a REIMO pop-top or sleeping roof.

Then compare the vehicle, model year, wheelbase, roof version and any modifications made by the campervan converter with the information provided for the individual 50°Nord Sleeping Board.

The exact roof version is particularly important with REIMO because different roof configurations can be available for the same base vehicle.
