Heating the pop-top with your existing parking heater
Anyone who sleeps in a pop-top roof in colder weather knows the problem: the parking heater keeps the lower part of the campervan comfortably warm, but that warm air doesn't automatically reach the upper bed.
That's exactly what CaliHeat was developed for.
Instead of installing an additional heater for the upper sleeping area, CaliHeat makes use of the heat your campervan already produces. The heater air duct connects to the appropriate warm-air outlet and directs the heated air upwards into the sleeping area.
This provides a simple way to heat the pop-top roof using the existing parking heater, without installing a second heating system.
Connecting CaliHeat to the Sleeping Board
CaliHeat becomes particularly practical when combined with our Sleeping Board.
The air duct attaches to the Sleeping Board using a bayonet connection, allowing warm air from the parking heater to be directed straight into the upper sleeping area.
The principle is deliberately simple: existing heater, air duct, bayonet connection – and the warm air your campervan already produces reaches the place where you actually need it at night.
Heater air duct instead of an additional heater
CaliHeat doesn't generate heat itself. It simply redirects the warm air already produced by the vehicle's parking heater.
This means that the basic CaliHeat system requires neither an additional heating unit nor its own electrical power supply.
That's a significant advantage in a campervan. Instead of carrying and operating another technical system, you're simply making better use of equipment already installed in the vehicle.
Optional fan for additional airflow
If you want to move the warm air into the upper sleeping area more actively, CaliHeat can be supplemented with an optional fan.
The system remains straightforward: the fan simply attaches using the dedicated bayonet fitting.
You can therefore decide whether passive warm-air distribution is sufficient for your needs or whether you prefer additional airflow into the pop-top sleeping area.

The connection can vary depending on the vehicle and specification. Always select the CaliHeat version designed for your particular vehicle.
CaliHeat for Mercedes Marco Polo
Suitable CaliHeat solutions are also available for the Mercedes Marco Polo.
The principle remains the same: warm air from the existing parking heater is collected at the appropriate outlet and directed through the air duct into the sleeping area beneath the pop-top roof.
For many campervans with Eberspächer or Webasto heater outlets
CaliHeat isn't limited to the VW California and Mercedes Marco Polo.
Solutions are also available for many other campervans equipped with a suitable Eberspächer or Webasto warm-air outlet. The appropriate heater outlet adapter provides the connection between the vehicle's warm-air outlet and the CaliHeat air duct.
The heater itself is therefore not the only factor that determines compatibility. The design and position of the warm-air outlet are also important, which is why the correct CaliHeat version should always be selected for the individual vehicle and installation.
